Transforming Tension into Clarity, Connection and Growth

Conflict is often treated as something to avoid, suppress, or a relational failure.

We know that in organizations committed to change, and in our interpersonal relationships conflict is inevitable - It's how we navigate and reach for repair that allows us to be more effective in connecting with one another. When engaged skillfully, conflict can become a powerful tool for growth, clarity, and transformation.

Conflict as Catalyst is an interactive and practice driven training designed to help individuals and teams understand how conflict operates within themselves, their relationships, and their organizations. Rather than focusing solely on resolution, this training invites participants to explore how conflict reveals values, power dynamics, unmet needs, and opportunities for deeper alignment.

Through reflection, dialogue, somatic awareness, practical tools and practice, participants will learn how to approach conflict with curiosity while transforming moments of tension into opportunities for insight, collaboration, and stronger relationships.

What You’ll Learn

Participants will explore:

  • How personal history, identity, and power dynamics shape the way we experience conflict
  • The difference between reactive conflict and generative conflict
  • How to recognize somatic and emotional signals that arise during difficult conversations
  • Practical tools for staying present and grounded when conflict emerges
  • How to engage disagreement in ways that build trust rather than erode it

Participants will also be introduced to the Conflict Archetype framework, a tool that helps individuals identify their natural patterns in conflict and understand how different approaches interact within teams.

Training Approach

This training blends conceptual learning with interactive practice. Participants will engage in:

  • Guided reflection and self-assessment
  • Small-group discussions and real-world scenario exploration
  • Somatic awareness practices that support emotional regulation during conflict
  • Practical frameworks for navigating difficult conversations with clarity and care

The goal is to develop the awareness and skills needed to engage conflict constructively.

  • Leadership teams navigating organizational change
  • Staff teams experiencing communication challenges
  • Coalitions and cross-sector collaborations
